PDPM Is Coming, Are You Ready?
WEBINAR
On April 27, 2018, CMS released its proposed SNF rule for 2019 which included plans to replace the existing RUG-IV payment system with an entirely new model. The “Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM)” was introduced with a belief that it will reduce administrative burdens and correlate payment with patient characteristics rather than services provided.
Brady, Stephanie, and Cindy will explore the history of CMS’ desire to change the payment model for skilled nursing facilities. It will also provide an overview of how each component of the daily per diem will be established. Finally, it will provide attendees with practical suggestions on how to start to prepare for the new payment model which is scheduled to become effective on October 1, 2019.
