Home Health Cost Report Changes Coming

On April 16, 2019, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) published notice in the Federal Register of plans to revise the existing home health freestanding cost reporting instructions and forms 1728-94 with revised forms and instructions 1728-19. The proposed changes are intended to be effective for cost reporting periods beginning on or after January 1, 2019 and ending on or after December 31, 2019.

This could be problematic if CMS sticks to this effective date as most agencies will be at least six months into the cost reporting period before the new forms become final and there is some new information that will be required.

Learn from industry experts Dave Macke, MBA, CHFP, FHFMA and Elizabeth Zink-Pearson, Esq. about the changes CMS intends to require for home health cost reporting and how those changes will affect your home health fiscal documentation as LeadingAge Ohio hosts a webinar on August 13th to discuss these changes.
