ODM Asking for Feedback on HCBS Statewide Transition Plan
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is giving LeadingAge Ohio members the opportunity to comment on the Home- and Community-based Services (HCBS) Statewide Transition Plan being submitted to CMS for review for final approval. The Statewide Transition Plan process is Ohio’s response to the Home- and Community-based Settings (HCBS) Rule, a federal rule which sought to ensure all HCBS waivers were indeed provided in community-based settings and those settings did not have characteristics that were institutional in nature.
Attached is a public notice and summary document, found at Public Comment: HCBS Statewide Transition Plan. Individuals may also be referred to the Ohio Department of Medicaid (1-800-364-3153) to request a paper copy of the posting and associated documents.
