Director of Clinical Services
Northeast Ohio Hospice is currently seeking a Director of Clinical Services. The Director will ensure the coordination of patient care through direct supervision of the hospice nurses, hospice aide/homemakers and therapy staff in collaboration with social work and counseling services.
In conjunction with the Hospice Administrator, will establish the responsibilities and qualifications for clinical services positions; develop policies and procedures for the delivery of patient care; hire, train, and maintain staff and contract personnel based on program and community needs; determine staffing patterns that promote maximum utilization of personnel; and participate in program planning and evaluation. Travel to all parts of Cuyahoga, Geauga and northern Summit counties is required. Some on-call hours required.
Must have ability to operate within budget and manage cost-effective care, be proficient in developing goals, objectives and activities for the delivery of hospice services; have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of Ohio; prefer 2-4 years experience in hospice; and 2-4 years experience in a supervisory capacity. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and knowledge of hospice Medicare regulations and State Hospice licensure law preferred.
