Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, is searching for a full-time Director of Nursing for its retirement campus, The Renaissance, located in Olmsted Township.
Ideal candidate will be self-motivated and organized Registered Nurse who will be responsible for the clinical oversight of the building ensuring quality care and services is provided to all residents. An energetic self-starter who possess the ability and flexibility of interacting with different levels of staff, families, residents, and outside customers.
Candidate must have acceptable ODH survey results and possess strong clinical knowledge.
Job Responsibilities
The Renaissance is a Continuum Care Retirement Community. The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing our 96-bed Health Center and 24 Assisted Living apartments. As the Director of Nursing you are responsible for establishing and implementing standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis .
- Direct nursing services and programs to support implementation of Eliza Jennings’ (Network) strategic plan and achievement of its mission.
- Design and implement clinical systems and processes; develop auditing and monitoring systems and processes to assure regulatory compliance and achieve desired quality outcomes.
- Provide input to annual operating budget, making recommendations for necessary staffing and other departmental expenses. Prepare and manage budget, monitor expenses and analyze and resolve variances.
- Investigate, resolve and document resident complaints; conduct investigations and implement remedial actions.
- Report, investigate, and take appropriate action on all allegations impacting residents.
- Coordinates nursing service with community agencies, physicians, families, residents, consultants, ancillary service providers and other departments within the facility.
- Assure timely communication with families; oversee and/or participate in family care conferences.
- Assure a secure environment for residents, employees and visitors; implement the Network risk management initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Seasoned level of experience as Director of Nursing in a comparably sized community.
- Certificate/ License: Registered Nurse, CPR certification and driver’s license.
- Strong desire to provide quality care to our residents.
- Demonstrated success in terms of quality outcomes.
