Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing

United Church Homes, Inc., a faith-based, non-profit provider of senior living, serving more than 4,000 residents in 66 communities is currently seeking a Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing to serve at our corporate office located in Marion, Ohio. The Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and support for the corporation's and communities’ sales and marketing programs, systems and activities to achieve or exceed budgeted census and quality mix goals to enable the achievement of strategic objectives at all owned and managed communities; providing analysis of primary markets to assess growth opportunities; providing marketing support for the Affordable Housing Division as required; providing marketing insights to assist organizational management, strategy development and market positioning of each community; developing and supporting a strategy for relationship building with key referral sources in the communities’ markets; coordinate developing enterprise and community-specific annual marketing plans and activities to generate awareness of, and preference for, UCH owned and managed communities; and providing leadership, direction and support of community marketing teams.

Essential Functions: 

  • As the Corporate Director of Sales and Marketing, you will provide leadership, direction, and support for the communities' sales, marketing, and public relations efforts. Mentor, coach, and train the community marketing directors and sales counselors.
  • Supervise the development of the communities' and Affordable Housing Division's market analysis, and annual marketing plan development to achieve or exceed budgeted sales, census and quality mix.
  • Maintain and oversee the CMS – Contact Management System and accurate files and records, both paper and digital, to track leads, referrals, market trends and competitors' activities.
  • Direct the work activities of community marketing directors in collaboration with the Executive Directors/Administrators to engage in sales/marketing/promotional activities that enable the organization to achieve its budgeted sales, census and quality mix goals.
  • Complete community visitation and other activities reports.
  • Coordinate market research/feasibility studies to support merger and acquisition activities.
  • Conduct weekly sales management conference calls with each community.
  • Complete monthly reports on the achievement of the organization's sales/marketing objectives and marketing plans execution.
  • Conduct business activities in a manner consistent with the vision-mission-values of United Church Homes.
  • Participate in enterprise performance improvement activities, committees, and ad hoc work groups as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Marketing or associated discipline. Master's Degree Preferred, Field of Study: Marketing or Business or associated discipline. 

Experience: Five (5) years or more of multi-site sales/marketing leadership experience in the senior living sector, with a demonstrated track record of success in driving sales, census and quality mix in residential living, independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing accommodations. 

Computer Skills: Must have proficient typing and word processing skills; Must be able to proficiently operate a computer, the Internet, Microsoft Office products and essential office equipment. 

Other Requirements: Prior experience in providing sales/marketing leadership, direction and support – in a multi-facility setting – to help senior living communities achieve their budgeted sales, census and quality mix objectives. Prior experience in sales system training and execution. Must have active reading, writing, grammar and mathematical skills. Must have strong interpersonal relations and communication skills. Must have proficient correspondence and report writing skills. Must be able to adhere to all terms and conditions outlined in the United Church Homes Employee Handbook. Ability to handle and manage multiple priorities and projects. Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a fast-paced environment.
