Headquartered in Delaware, Ohio, Willow Brook Christian Communities is a not-for-profit life plan community serving central Ohio seniors, providing Independent Living retirement homes and apartments, Transitional Living apartments, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing Care, and Adult Day Services in the Delaware, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio areas. Since its inception, Willow Brook has maintained an affiliation with the Churches of Christ. Over the last fifty years, Willow Brook has grown from a 25-bed skilled nursing facility to a life plan community of three scenic campuses serving more than 600 residents and employing more than 500 staff members.

Due to the 2023 planned retirement of the founding Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Willow Brook Christian Communities is now seeking a CEO to oversee the operation of the entire not-for-profit organization. He/she has the primary responsibility for the care of all residents, the implementation of all programs, and the general welfare of the entire staff. The Chief Executive Officer is also responsible for leading the development of new programs and ventures and will play a key leadership role in strategic planning initiatives.

The new leader of Willow Brook Christian Communities will be a strategic, inspirational leader with integrity who can capitalize on past successes and prepare the organization for the future. The CEO will have a track record of building strong relationships, combined with a performance-driven approach to operational and financial stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a sincere appreciation for the faith-based mission of Willow Brook Christian Communities and will be an organizational leader who derives satisfaction from facilitating and nurturing the success of others.

Education requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, with a preference for Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Gerontology or a related field. Evidence of ongoing, continuous education in the field of assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, health care, long-term care, senior living management and operations is desired. A current Ohio nursing home administrator’s license (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.

The ideal CEO candidate will bring significant, proven experience as a Chief Executive Officer or senior leader within senior housing facilities or have demonstrated similar experience. The candidate must also possess a strong understanding of the complexities and changes ongoing in the senior care field and have the expertise and experience to align the organization with market demands, both present and future, to further the mission of Willow Brook. Candidates must exhibit a knowledge of financial accounting and budget methods and must be adaptable and have the demonstrated ability to make sound decisions.

The selected individual for the CEO role will be genuinely committed to the mission of the Willow Brook organization and will display a warm and outgoing personality. The new CEO will be an engaged and visible leader with a proven ability to articulate and relate well with people from varied, diverse backgrounds. Also, the CEO selected will possess the ability to represent the organization positively at public events.
